We suggest adults and children alike have a standard cleaning twice a year, along with fluoride treatments for the children. We find this time interval best for keeping patients healthy and finding problems when they are small. X-rays should be taken at periodic intervals that we individualize to each patient’s needs.
Some patients need a more in-depth cleaning due to areas of periodontal disease. These patients may be seen every three to four months.
Toothbrushes and other helpful tools are given to patients at each hygiene appointment, along with detailed instruction on how to use them.
